On April 19, 2025, the ice was officially out of Catchacoma Lake for another year. It didn’t take long for CCA volunteers to set up a day to get the hazard and navigation buoys in. Shout out to Jay, Ric and Steve for taking the time to make the lake safer for all of us. Special thanks to Pete for looking after the buoys in the Narrows every year. We also appreciate the generosity of Catchacoma Marina in the use of their barge and for storing the buoys for us over the winter.
Our buoy program represents a major expense for the CCA so thank you to everyone for becoming a member; your dues help us with this annual task. Maintenance and insurance are expensive but the labour is all volunteer!
